One is precious, three require care

But when you have dozens, you have CD's to burn! And that's the whole point, isn't it?

When you buy in bulk you save. It's what you would expect, it's what we do!

I would encourage you to proactively seek ways to use CDR disks. I know, it sells disks, (what's wrong with that?) but it really is a good way to cut down on all kinds of storage space and make retrieval much easier.

If you have a scanner, and you have been doing your taxes with one of the software packages, why not archive the documents with the filings on a "master" tax CD? I have stored the preparation software, the filing information and the documents for the last six years on one CD and there is still plenty of room for more. (Federal + State and scanned docs = 60M for last year)

Putting old pictures on CD is it's own reward! As you place them on the scanner, you get a chance to relive the moment again and once they are digitized, you can easily send them to friends and family. You can often scan 6 at a time when the pictures date to the time when 4" x 6" wasn't the norm, making the task goes quite fast.

I just bought 8 storage boxes at a club store for about $11. That makes each box cost about $1.35, far more than a CD, and if it was storing data, far smaller in capacity.

It just makes sense!
